Last weeks, once again, been reading and searching for easier ways to take care of Ej's wounds...
Working with EB - children's wounds takes specialist care, but it also needs your heart in the right place...
If you would have told me, three years ago I would be an 'EB' specialist, I would have laughed in your face! My motto is 'less is best', less time, less dressings, but above all, less pain and less anxiety...
But how make your child's life a little bit easier? "Allow children some control, for example, by removing dressing themselves,..." So that is what we did, removing her dressings herself, cutting off dead skin and even emptying her blisters... Because nobody really knows what she feels, how she sees it, how she wants to do it!
